Position Overview

As a Customer Delivery Consulting Engineer – Data Center, you will be the technical bridge between arenaflex’s advanced solution portfolio and the unique requirements of U.S. government customers. You will operate in classified environments, develop architecture blueprints, and lead multi‑disciplinary teams to deliver secure, scalable, and future‑ready network solutions. This role requires a U.S. Person status, a current TS/SCI clearance (or eligibility), and the willingness to work onsite in Fort Meade, MD 3–4 days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architectural Design: Produce comprehensive High‑Level Designs (HLD), Low‑Level Designs (LLD), and Acceptance Test Plans (ATP) for data‑center, campus, and WAN environments.
  • Customer Advisory: Act as a trusted technical advisor, translating business objectives into secure network architectures that meet compliance, performance, and resiliency requirements.
  • Solution Enablement: Leverage arenaflex Analytics, arenaflex Engineering, and the broader ecosystem to drive innovation, risk reduction, and technology adoption.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide cross‑functional teams—comprising arenaflex specialists, customer staff, and third‑party partners—to resolve complex network issues and implement best‑practice solutions.
  • Documentation & Knowledge Transfer: Create clear, repeatable documentation, run workshops, and mentor junior engineers to ensure sustainable customer success.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to U.S. government security policies, including handling of classified information and adherence to TS/SCI requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Provide feedback to arenaflex product teams on emerging customer needs, influencing roadmap and feature development.

Essential Qualifications

  • U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee).
  • Current TS/SCI clearance or eligibility for SCI access.
  • Minimum six (6) years of hands‑on experience with arenaflex networking technologies covering both data‑center and enterprise environments.
  • arenaflex Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) certification or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • arenaflex Certified Networking Professional (CCNP‑DC) and/or (CCNP‑EN) certification.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Data Center overlay technologies such as VXLAN, OTV, and EVPN.
  • Advanced knowledge of routing and switching platforms, including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, IS‑IS, EIGRP, QoS, IPv6, and related protocols.
  • Hands‑on experience with network virtualization and fabric solutions (vPC, FabricPath, STP, MST, etc.).
  • Proven ability to lead multi‑vendor teams through complex problem‑solving scenarios.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with a track record of delivering innovative solutions under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of producing high‑quality technical documentation and delivering executive‑level briefings.
  • Self‑starter attitude with capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, hybrid work environment.
