At arenaflex, we are more than a technology provider – we are the catalyst that powers the digital backbone of governments, enterprises, and critical infrastructure across the globe. Our mission is to enable secure, resilient, and high‑performing networks that empower our customers to innovate, protect, and scale. As a leader in the networking domain, arenaflex combines deep engineering expertise with forward‑thinking analytics to deliver transformational outcomes for some of the most demanding environments in the United States.

Our culture celebrates diversity, fosters inclusive collaboration, and encourages every employee to bring their authentic self to work. With a hybrid‑first approach, robust learning pathways, and community‑driven initiatives, arenaflex is the place where ambitious technologists turn bold ideas into reality.

Role Overview – Technical Leadership at the Heart of Customer Experience (CX)

The Customer Delivery Technical Leader role sits within arenaflex’s Customer Experience (CX) organization, a high‑impact team that partners directly with federal and commercial clients to design, implement, and optimize mission‑critical network solutions. You will act as the trusted advisor who translates complex technical challenges into strategic opportunities, guiding customers through the full lifecycle of network transformation—from architecture blueprints to hands‑on implementation and post‑deployment validation.

This position is classified, requiring the incumbent to hold a U.S. Government security clearance and to work on U.S. soil. Candidates must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and possess a current TS/SCI clearance (or Top Secret with SCI eligibility). The role demands on‑site presence 3‑4 days per week at our Northern Virginia hub, ensuring seamless collaboration with customers, partners, and internal engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities – Driving Network Innovation and Customer Success

  • Solution Architecture & Design: Lead the creation of comprehensive High‑Level Designs (HLD), Low‑Level Designs (LLD), and Acceptance Test Plans (ATP) for data‑center, campus, and cloud‑connected networks.
  • Technical Leadership: Guide cross‑functional teams composed of arenaflex engineers, customer staff, and third‑party partners to troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize sophisticated network issues.
  • Consultative Advising: Serve as the primary technical liaison, delivering strategic recommendations that align network capabilities with business objectives, risk reduction, and compliance mandates.
  • Methodology Implementation: Apply arenaflex‑approved best‑practice methodologies (including ACI, SD‑WAN, and automation frameworks) to accelerate deployment speed and ensure consistency across multiple customer sites.
  • Crisis Management: Anticipate potential service disruptions, devise mitigations, and lead rapid response actions during incidents to preserve mission continuity.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Conduct workshops, briefings, and training sessions that empower customers to manage and evolve their network environments independently.
  • Feedback Loop: Capture customer insights and relay them to arenaflex Engineering and Product teams, influencing future feature development and roadmap priorities.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Produce detailed technical documentation, status reports, and executive summaries that convey complex concepts clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to embed Quality of Service (QoS), security hardening, and performance tuning into existing designs, driving measurable value for the client.

Essential Qualifications – What You Must Bring

  • Clearance: Active U.S. Government TS/SCI Clearance (or Top Secret with SCI eligibility).
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and supporting Cisco‑style data center compute and networking solutions (translated to arenaflex equivalents).
  • Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) – Data Center track, or comparable certifications demonstrating expertise in ACI‑style fabrics.
  • Location: Reside within commuting distance to Northern Virginia and able to work onsite 3‑4 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications – Elevate Your Candidacy

  • Proven track record delivering arenaflex standard methodologies (ACI, SD‑WAN, automation) within complex customer environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams—including arenaflex engineers, customer staff, and partner personnel—through analysis and resolution of intricate network challenges.
  • Strong crisis‑management instincts, with experience anticipating, communicating, and resolving high‑impact incidents.
  • Exceptional consulting and relationship‑building skills that foster trust and collaborative problem solving.
  • Visionary mindset capable of articulating a future‑focused network strategy that inspires transformation.
  • Advanced analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, especially in troubleshooting QoS, latency, and security concerns.
  • Hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Quality of Service (QoS) policies across multi‑tenant infrastructures.
  • Self‑starter attitude with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility environment.

Core Skills & Competencies – Success Factors

  • Technical Depth: In‑depth knowledge of data‑center networking, virtualization, and modern fabric architectures (especially ACI‑style solutions).
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex technical details into clear, actionable recommendations for executives and field engineers alike.
  • Leadership: Proven capability to mentor junior engineers, drive consensus across diverse stakeholder groups, and champion best practices.
  • Strategic Thinking: Skill in aligning technical solutions with broader business goals, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies to manage timelines, deliverables, and resource allocations.
  • Adaptability: Comfort with evolving technologies, rapid change, and the unique demands of classified government environments.

  • Opportunities to work on high‑visibility federal projects that shape national critical infrastructure, enhancing your reputation as a trusted security and networking expert.
  • Cross‑functional rotation possibilities—moving between CX, Product Engineering, and Strategy teams—to broaden your skill set and impact.
  • Eligibility for internal mobility programs, enabling you to transition to roles such as Senior Solutions Architect, Program Director, or Technical Program Manager.
