Job Posting Analysis Job Details Job Title Registered Nurse - PCU Job Summary Travel Registered Nurse needed for a PCU (Progressive Care Unit) position. The RN will provide patient care in a hospital setting and will be required to float between departments, units and facilities as needed, including Emergency Department for Inpatients holding. Key Responsibilities • Provide patient care in a PCU setting. • Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Telemetry- remote monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams. • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. • Assess patient conditions and develop/implement nursing care plans. • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. • Perform procedures, including Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Phlebotomy, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs. • Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management. • Float between MSI units based on greatest need, including Emergency department for Inpatients holding. • Holiday shifts and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit. Required Qualifications • Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU or related setting. • Must have a full year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no gap in employment greater than 90 days in the past year. • Registered Nurse License (Kansas and Missouri or compact license in hand at time of submission). • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications. • Experience with EPIC charting system preferred.
