Title: M1 ERP Consultant – Discrete Manufacturing (Audit & Optimization) Location: Fully Remote Work Type: Contract (Initial 6-week engagement with strong likelihood of extension) Start Date: ASAP Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week) Work Authorization: US Citizens or Green Card Holders only Industry: Discrete Manufacturing / Infrastructure & Construction Component Position Overview Our client, a specialty manufacturer of custom components serving the infrastructure and construction industries, is seeking a highly experienced M1 ERP Consultant to lead an ERP audit, assessment, and optimization engagement . This engagement will begin with a structured 6-week assessment to validate whether M1 ERP is the appropriate long-term solution for the organization. Upon successful completion, the project is expected to transition into an optimization and configuration phase , ensuring the system is set up correctly to support discrete manufacturing operations and future growth. The ideal consultant brings deep hands-on experience with M1 ERP in discrete manufacturing environments , strong process analysis skills, and the ability to provide strategic recommendations while also executing configuration and optimization work. Key Responsibilities • Conduct a comprehensive audit and assessment of the existing M1 ERP environment • Evaluate current manufacturing, operational, and financial processes within a discrete manufacturing setting • Determine ERP fit and provide clear recommendations on whether M1 is the right solution long-term • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and misconfigurations within the current system • Deliver detailed findings, recommendations, and a phased optimization roadmap • Lead M1 ERP configuration and optimization following the assessment phase • Ensure ERP setup aligns with best practices for: • * Discrete manufacturing • Custom / made-to-order production • Infrastructure and construction component workflows • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and adoption • Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and process standardization Required Qualifications • 10+ years of ERP consulting experience , with significant hands-on M1 ERP expertise • Proven experience working with discrete manufacturing organizations • Strong background in ERP audits, assessments, and optimization initiatives • Deep understanding of manufacturing operations, including: • * Production planning • Shop floor operations • Inventory management • BOMs and routings • Ability to operate independently and drive outcomes in a fast-paced consulting engagement • Excellent communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders • Experience delivering clear executive-level recommendations and documentation • US Citizen or Green Card Holder required Nice to Have • Experience supporting specialty or custom manufacturers • Prior work within infrastructure, construction, or industrial manufacturing environments • Experience leading ERP post-assessment optimization or reimplementation efforts Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
