Role Description We are seeking a dedicated Category Space Manager to support our West Region category team, ideally based in Southern California. This role involves working closely with regional retail customers to support the space process, develop insights-based opportunities, and communicate strategic growth recommendations using our category framework. • Support the space reset processes, including drawing planograms. • Build strong relationships with retailers as a trusted category advisor across the beer and hard beverage business, as well as the total alcohol department. • Lead, motivate, and drive strong engagement with sales partners. • Effectively communicate, manage, and prioritize workloads across multiple customers. • Track and measure retailer results against aligned strategic goals and shelf objectives. • Educate internal teammates and external customers on growth opportunities through clear and impactful communications. • Lead future industry growth in assigned areas of responsibility. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in category management is a plus. • Background in beer, wine, and spirits in a sales or category capacity is advantageous. Requirements • Proficiency in space planning software (JDA, Apollo, or Spaceman). • Strong strategic thinking and ability to convert insights into actions. • Excellent project management and communication skills with cross-functional teams. • Ability to synthesize and leverage multiple data points to create retail strategies. • Proficiency in Excel (formulas) and PowerPoint. • Familiarity with syndicated data and digital category manager tools. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $41.50/hr.
