Overview Base pay range $/yr - $/yr A fast-growing healthtech startup is building an AI platform that helps patients navigate care more efficiently — combining human advocacy with intelligent automation to improve outcomes and cut through healthcare complexity. We’re hiring an Engineering Manager ready to step into a CTO path . This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll design systems, ship product, and grow the engineering team from the ground up. Responsibilities • Build and launch patient- and partner-facing applications and backend systems. • Architect scalable, production-ready AI-driven infrastructure. • Lead and mentor a small, high-performing team of engineers. • Work directly with the founders and early users to turn real-world needs into product. • Make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed, quality, and scale. What we’re looking for • 8+ years of full-stack or backend engineering experience in startups or fast-moving environments. • Strong technical depth across Python, Django, Next.js, and cloud (AWS/GCP). • Comfortable working in ambiguity, with a bias for execution and delivery. • Experience leading small teams and mentoring engineers. • Excitement about using AI to solve meaningful, real-world problems.
