Title: Program Manager – Data & AI Transformation Location: United States (Remote) Engagement Type: Contract / Contract-to-Hire Domain: Data Platforms, Analytics, AI, GenAI, Cloud Modernization Energy Industry Experience is a must Role Overview Client is seeking a hands-on Program Manager – Data & AI Transformation to lead high-impact, short-cycle transformation programs across data, analytics, and artificial intelligence initiatives. This role is designed for a delivery-focused leader who can rapidly onboard, establish executive trust, and drive outcomes across complex cloud, data, and AI engagements often within 60–90-day delivery windows. The Program Manager serves as the primary owner of client delivery success, responsible for shaping project execution, mitigating risk, and ensuring seamless collaboration across stakeholders, architects, engineers, and business leaders. First 90 Days – Business Outcomes The Program Manager is expected to become fully effective within the first week of onboarding and will immediately: • Establish trusted working relationships with client sponsors and key stakeholders • Rapidly assess project scope, objectives, dependencies, and success criteria • Develop structured delivery plans and align PivotX delivery teams for execution • Secure access to client infrastructure, data, environments, and tools • Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to access, data readiness, infrastructure dependencies, and expectation alignment • Lead formal project kick-off and ensure a smooth transition into execution • Serve as a confident advisor to clients on Data and AI delivery strategies Programs & Initiatives Owned The Program Manager oversees a portfolio of Data and AI transformation initiatives, including: Data Programs • Cloud Data Warehousing • Data Lakes & Cloud Data Platforms • Master Data Management (MDM) • Data Governance • Business Intelligence & Analytics AI Programs • Data Science & Machine Learning • Generative AI (GenAI) • Agentic AI Solutions At any given time, the portfolio typically includes 2 Data-focused programs and 3 AI-focused programs. Portfolio & Stakeholder Management • Manages 1–3 concurrent projects depending on complexity and immersion level • For deeply embedded engagements, ownership is typically limited to a single project to ensure delivery excellence • Acts as the central point of accountability for executive sponsors, technical teams, and delivery partners Governance, Compliance & Lifecycle Collaboration While not directly accountable for formal AI governance, privacy, or compliance ownership, the Program Manager: • Leads delivery efforts to design, scope, and implement governance, model lifecycle, privacy, and compliance requirements • Partners with architects, security teams, and SMEs to ensure responsible AI implementation Delivery Leadership Expectations This is a hands-on delivery leadership role, not a coordination-only position. The Program Manager will: • Actively guide delivery teams through execution, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement • Participate in technical and functional discussions across data and AI programs • Drive delivery accountability, execution cadence, and measurable outcomes Cloud & Technology Environment PivotX solutions span multi-cloud platforms depending on client needs: • Microsoft Azure • Amazon Web Services (AWS) • Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Qualifications • 10+ years leading enterprise technology programs • Demonstrated success managing Data, Analytics, and AI initiatives • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, modern data architectures, and AI delivery frameworks • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, short-cycle delivery environments • Exceptional communication, stakeholder leadership, and risk management skills This Program Manager will play a critical role in driving Client’s Data & AI transformation success combining delivery leadership, technical fluency, and executive partnership to accelerate client outcomes.
