A rewarding role is available for an experienced RN with Telemetry skills to provide expert nursing care within a specialized Cardiac Unit. This travel position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting focused on cardiac care, where your clinical expertise and commitment to patient care can make a meaningful impact. Location Situated in Powell, Tennessee, you'll be part of a vibrant community known for its scenic beauty and friendly atmosphere. Powell offers convenient access to larger metropolitan areas while maintaining the charm of a smaller town, making it an ideal location for both work and lifestyle balance. Qualifications & Desired Experience • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in telemetry or cardiac specialty units • Current BLS certification from AHA and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required; ACLS preferred • Ability to pass EKG testing prior to assignment start • Comfortable working with patient ratios typically ranging from 1:7 to 1:8, possibly operating within a team nursing model • Flexibility to float to other units as needed • Reliable attendance with weekend shifts every other weekend or 2 per month Responsibilities • Provide specialized nursing care in the Cardiac Specialty Unit • Monitor and interpret telemetry equipment accurately to assess patient cardiac functions • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes • Adhere to all safety and clinical protocols, including documentation and compliance requirements • Participate in bi-weekly orientation and maintain readiness for a 3 x 12-hour day shift schedule (07:00 – 19:30) Additional Details • No on-call duties required • Travelers should note that holiday time off requests during specified periods may not be accommodated; these can be discussed on-site with the nurse manager after assignment commencement • This is a travel nursing assignment requiring flexibility and adaptability This position is ideal for an RN seeking to enhance their skills within a specialized cardiac unit while enjoying the benefits of travel nursing.
