Role Description
Renaissance Benefits is seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our growing team!
• Perform actuarial and statistical functions for product development and rating, external business, fee tables, and schedules.
• Design, implement, and maintain various levels of application programs to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely collection and manipulation of data in support of actuarial services.
• Progress through the SOA exams is required and supported through our actuarial student program.
• Compile, develop, analyze, and maintain data for forecasting, rate development, fee development and analysis, insurance bureau filing, and budgeting.
• Provide actuarial support to new product development and assist underwriting with rating of non-standard benefits design.
• Provide information to internal and external customers regarding claims liabilities and receivables, number of subscribers, group experience, and fee analysis.
• Execute and monitor periodic special reports and analyses to internal and external customers.
• Assist sales and group administration in responding to major bids and proposals.
• Provide actuarial and underwriting assistance to others, including total business rating analysis, development of manual rating formula, and requested rating factor calculations.
• Complete specialized projects and assignments, as assigned.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, or statistics.
• Successful completion of one actuarial exam.
• Two years of actuarial or underwriting experience, which includes experience analysis and reporting.
• Programming exposure/experience and the desire to attain ASA credential required.
• Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office applications.
• Advanced analytical skills; attention to detail; and proven ability to communicate results both orally and in writing.
Requirements
• Base Salary Range: $70,000-80,000.
