As a Remote Business Development Assistant, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and development for Southwest Airlines' corporate travel portfolios. You will be part of the Immediate Outreach group, which leads direct selling methodology and strategies for Southwest Business, securing, managing, and growing corporate travel portfolios, as well as identifying new opportunities and providing data insights to account managers.Key Responsibilities• Prospect and qualify inbound and outbound leads through cold calling and email campaigns, engaging with clients and building rapport in a professional manner.• Prepare proposals and maintain relationships with qualified leads for account managers.• Complete timely and accurate documentation of all sales activities in Salesforce.• Meet or exceed weekly/monthly lead generation objectives.• Provide customer service to Southwest Business Group and clients by responding to and managing sales inquiries.• Participate in ad-hoc sales projects, promotions, and negotiations.• Negotiate and execute corporate agreements, including Rapid Rewards Business and the Groups program.Essential Qualifications and SkillsTo be successful in this role, you will need:• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak confidently in front of a crowd.• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.• A detail-oriented and results-driven approach, with a need for speed.• A professional appearance and demeanor.• The ability to identify areas of opportunity, create a plan for growth, and execute.Preferred QualificationsWhile not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:• Previous experience in sales, business development, or a related field.• A proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.• Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM systems.Career Growth Opportunities and Learning BenefitsAt Southwest Airlines, we're committed to providing our employees with opportunities for learning and self-improvement.
