Please visit www.cmimgmt.com to learn more about our company!<br><br><strong>Job Description<br><br></strong>The Federal Proposal Manager is versed and has experience in the Facilities Maintenance/Operations & Maintenance industry and is an integral member of the CMI’s Business Development organization and Proposal Center, managing the entire proposal process and overseeing the submission of proposals for CMI’s government customers. This role is mostly remote but must reside in the National Capital Region to have access to CMI’s corporate offices in Alexandria, VA.<br><br><strong>Key Job Functions<br><br></strong><ul><li>Exercise ownership of CMI’s proposal process and take responsibility for quality and compliance of all proposals</li><li>Coordinate and guide proposal management activities and workflow such as creating and distributing all documents required for proposal development including proposal template, compliance matrix, schedule, and color review sheets; leading internal proposal status meetings and reviews; coordinating win themes and pricing strategies, serving as the main POC for subcontractor proposal input; and acting as color reviewer</li><li>Responsible for planning, organizing, facilitating and executing proposals (both Prime and subcontractor role), and for assuring the company’s proposal development process is clearly disseminated and efficiently implemented and administered.</li><li>Provide direct and indirect management of the company's overall bid and proposal efforts and direct management of the Proposal process</li><li>Directly or through others, ensure proposal preparation activities are timely and proposals submitted are professional to include writing, editing, graphics, formatting, estimating/pricing, data call coordination, production and submission of all technical and cost volumes.</li><li>Participate in capture discussions to ensure understanding of bid strategy.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in a business-related field (e.g., Marketing, Business, English, Journalism, Communications) with at least (5) years’ experience.</li><li>Experience in proposal preparation and management.</li><li>Must have experience in the Facilities Maintenance industry</li><li>Certified proposal training from Shipley Associates or another similar professional organization is desirable.</li><li>Understanding of FAR and federal contracting compliance and proposal requirements</li><li>Experience in support of preparing formal responses to federal customer requests.</li><li>Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and projects while working independently in a fast-paced environment.</li><li>Must possess professional written and verbal communication skills, to include the ability to generate technical documents, and to effectively coordinate with various levels of management, project managers, technical personnel and client organizations; and must have the superior analytical skills to respond to RFP requirements in detail.</li><li>Extensive understanding of capture plans and proposal processes, primarily with federal government customers.</li><li>Familiarity with various contract types such a firm fixed-price, cost plus, fixed fee, and time and material.</li><li>Ability to maintain consistent positive and proactive attitude.</li><li>High proficiency in business and technical writing, editing, and proofreading.</li><li>Ability to organize material and complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.</li><li>Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written—and strong interpersonal skills as daily interaction with all levels of personnel—including field and management—will be required.</li><li>Ability to work in a small, fast-paced, global organization</li><li>Previous experience using Microsoft SharePoint as a collaboration and document management platform highly desirable.<br><br></li></ul><strong>Additional Information<br><br></strong><strong>COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS <br><br></strong><ul><li>Teamwork</li><li>Results orientation/operational excellence</li><li>Holding self and other accountable</li><li>Operational business thinking<br><br></li></ul>All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.<br><br>CMI is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
