Senior Front-End React Engineer Remote Long-term contract: $70-$80 per hour We are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our team in expanding our financial wellness business. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating user-friendly, performant, and scalable web applications. As a Senior Front-End Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing front-end solutions that enhance the user experience and drive the success of our financial wellness platform. Key Responsibilities • UI Development: Use React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to turn designs into performant and maintainable user interfaces. • Technical Leadership: Lead the development and testing of system components/services, including code and design reviews. • Project Management: Manage projects and deliverables; design, deploy, and improve database solutions. • Agility: Take initiative and produce timely results in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. • Architecture: Participate in shaping the technical architecture of the product. • Solution Design: Help translate user stories into technical solutions. • Reliability: Deliver highly available and scalable services in a production environment. • Mentorship: Mentor other engineers, support the technical culture, and help grow the team. • Innovation: Generate ideas for new initiatives and technologies. • Collaboration: Communicate effectively with project leads, product managers, and other software developers. • Expertise: Consistently demonstrate high levels of technical knowledge and creativity, applying advanced engineering principles and concepts across the system. Requirements • Education: Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a technical field (we also consider relevant work experience from diverse backgrounds). • Experience: 5+ years of related experience or demonstrated equivalent. • Core Tech: Proficiency with React and modern JavaScript libraries/tooling. • Fundamentals: Strong knowledge of semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills. • Modern Web: Familiarity with responsive design and mobile-web best practices. • Soft Skills: Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate, and take full responsibility for a project from inception to completion. • Workflow: Experience working in collaborative coding environments (Git), refining designs, and managing pull requests/code reviews. • Bonus: Experience with Redux, TypeScript, and working on large-scale applications. Nice To Have • Versatility: Full-stack engineering experience or a passion for broadening your technical skill set. • Infrastructure: Expertise with Kafka, Docker, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, AWS, and CI/CD. • Domain Knowledge: Previous experience in Fintech or the finance industry. • Context: Experience working on customer-facing websites or in a B2B environment.
