This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: Austria, New York (USA) Bookkeeper (Remote) Company: Vita Coco Position Summary Vita Coco is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the Finance & Accounting team in a fully remote capacity. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting compliance standards, and ensuring timely reporting in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong technical accounting knowledge, exceptional integrity, and the ability to work independently in a structured, deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities • Accurately record and classify financial transactions in the general ledger • Perform monthly bank, credit card, and account reconciliations • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes • Maintain and reconcile subsidiary ledgers • Assist with payroll processing and related documentation • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports • Support month-end and year-end close processes • Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external auditors as needed • Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls Required Qualifications • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or comparable ERP systems) • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment • Self-motivated with the ability to manage workload independently in a remote setting Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) or beverage industry • Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-state operations What We Offer • Competitive compensation package • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits • 401(k) with company match • Paid time off and company holidays • Remote work flexibility • Professional development and growth opportunities Application Instructions Qualified candidates are encouraged to submit a resume detailing relevant experience.
