Category: Legal Location: JOB DESCRIPTION: Remote Property Settlement Administrator, Conveyancing Admin Support Industry: AU Law Firm Employment Type: 40 hours per week; Full time VA Rate : $ 8-9 AUD per hour Purpose The position is responsible for providing timely and accurate administrative support to assist with legal and property-related transactions. The role supports the client in staying organized and managing day-to-day tasks, allowing focus on higher-level legal responsibilities. This position is integral to the success of the business. Property & Settlement Support (Key Responsibility): • Assist with administrative support for property purchases and sales. • Prepare and calculate settlement figures for property transactions. • Calculate client cash contributions to settlement after allowing for outgoings and financier contributions. • Maintain accurate settlement records and supporting documentation. • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure settlement information is accurate and up to date. Other Duties and Responsibilities • Email and calendar management • Data entry and file management • Drafting legal and administrative documents • Conduct basic legal research • Handling inbound and outbound calls • Scheduling and coordinating meetings • Responding to emails in a timely manner • Preparing correspondence such as memos, emails, invoices, and reports • Writing and editing documents • Posting and responding to content on social media • Responding to service enquiries via social media • Liaising with key stakeholders, clients, families, staff, and advocates Requirements Job Qualifications • Exposure to settlement calculations, property transactions, or finance-related admin is an advantage (not an accounting role) • Relevant experience in administrative support • Experience using LEAP software is a PLUS • Experience working in a legal firm is a PLUS • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills • Experience establishing and maintaining administrative systems and processes • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively • Proficient in spreadsheets (Excel / Google Sheets) • Savvy with social media • Good report writing skills • Experience with minute-taking Details Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
