AWS CDK Design & Planning consultant (IoT Core required)
Looking for an experienced AWS consultant to help me plan and spec the backend for an IoT product with a companion mobile app (https://lumenbloom.io/). This is strictly consulting (meetings + collaborative requirements), with a strong focus on cost-aware architecture.
Requirements
Proven AWS backend architecture experience for IoT + mobile products
Strong AWS CDK experience (entire backend defined in CDK)
Hands-on AWS IoT experience (real deployments; patterns for provisioning/auth, messaging, OTA)
Shipped and supported a production product with long-term maintenance ownership (reliability, security, operational realities)
Can translate a UI design into backend requirements by guiding me in sessions (not “doing the build”)
Deliverables
A collaborative backend spec/requirements doc (iteratively refined)
Clear architecture decisions + tradeoffs (especially cost, scalability, ops burden)
High-level backlog/plan as needed to drive implementation
How we’ll work
~6 sessions over ~2 weeks, ≤1 hour each
Optional light async collaboration if we use a shared spec doc (comments, revisions)
