Fractional Senior Project Manager, Computational Biology & AI/ML
What You Will Contribute To Altos
As a Project Manager at Altos, you will support the planning, execution, and delivery of multidisciplinary projects within the Institute of Computation (IoC). You will play a key role in ensuring cross-functional coordination, operational efficiency, and progress tracking to advance Altos’ mission. Responsibilities:
• Assist in the planning and execution of 4-6 assigned projects, translating objectives into clear timelines, deliverables, and milestones.
• Collaborate across teams, including scientific, computational, and business units, to facilitate effective communication and coordination.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential obstacles, and work with teams to resolve issues.
• Communicate project updates, status, and results to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
• Support budget tracking and resource planning for assigned projects.
• Leverage project management tools to streamline task management and collaboration.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of workflows to improve operational efficiency within projects.
Who You Are
Minimum Qualifications:
• Education: BS or MS in life sciences, computational biology, business, or a related field.
• Experience: 5-6 years of experience in project management within biotechnology, computational biology, AI/ML, pharmaceuticals, or a related scientific field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities independently.
• Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and facilitating collaboration.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Smartsheet, Google Suite or similar).
• Strong communication skills to present technical information clearly and effectively.
• Analytical thinker with problem-solving abilities to address project challenges.
• Results-driven and detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
• Self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
• Growth-oriented and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Collaborative and enjoys working as part of a high-impact team
The hourly range for remote hires:
• Hourly rate range: $70.00 - $90.00 / hr.
