Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Three Rivers, MI

This role supports patients requiring close monitoring due to cardiac conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, strokes, and acute coronary events. The position demands critical thinking and the ability to manage complex cardiac drips and telemetry assessments in a 54-bed cardiac telemetry unit. Location: Three Rivers, Michigan Nestled in the charming city of Three Rivers, this role offers a peaceful setting with access to outdoor recreation and a close-knit community atmosphere. Located within driving distance to larger metropolitan areas, it combines small-town living with convenient amenities. Responsibilities: • Monitor cardiac telemetry, including STEMI and NSTEMI patients, using remote and bedside monitoring systems • Administer cardiac-specific therapies such as drips • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver comprehensive cardiac care • Accurately document patient data using Cerner Powerchart • Respond promptly to cardiac emergencies and changes in patient condition • Maintain compliance with established protocols and standards for cardiac telemetry nursing Qualifications: • Active Registered Nurse license with telemetry nursing experience • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in telemetry or cardiac care • Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required • Comfortable managing patient ratios typically between 1:5-6, occasionally up to 1:7 • Ability and willingness to work night shifts (1900-0730) with a 4x12 schedule • Must live at least 50 miles from the facility; first-time travelers are welcome • No weekend call required; holiday work expected 2 out of 3 holidays Schedule: • Four 12-hour night shifts per week (1900 – 0730) • Guaranteed minimum hours: 36 per week • Weekend requirements every other weekend • Block scheduling not guaranteed, but managers strive to accommodate This contract role serves as an excellent match for nurses looking to apply their telemetry expertise in cardiovascular care with flexible scheduling.
