Job Overview

We are seeking highly skilled and professional Customer Service Representatives to join our team on a 6-month contract basis, with the possibility of extension. As a remote worker, you will have the flexibility to work from the comfort of your own home, while still being an integral part of our dynamic team. Our health insurance program is designed to provide virtual customer service support, ensuring that our beneficiaries receive the care and assistance they need to navigate the complexities of health insurance. Using a patient-centric approach, you will be responsible for answering incoming communications promptly, courteously, and professionally, while demonstrating a "can-do" attitude and exceeding expectations with the service provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure incoming communications are answered promptly, appropriately, and courteously, providing a positive and supportive experience for beneficiaries and clients.
  • Demonstrate a professional attitude and a "can-do" approach when servicing beneficiaries and clients, with the objective of exceeding expectations with the service provided.
  • Provide callers with informed and objective responses to complex or escalated concerns regarding program eligibility requirements, enrollments, and program benefits, ensuring that beneficiaries receive accurate and timely information.
  • Provide callers with appropriate and informed responses regarding provider referrals, prior authorization question support, claims questions, general medical question and direction support, and more, leveraging your knowledge of healthcare insurance plans and billing to deliver personalized support.
  • Deescalate and manage complaints in a professional manner, resolving them wherever possible or escalating them to the appropriate department or line manager, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and efficiently.
  • Accurately perform all data entry functions to reflect and document client activity/transactions, doing so in a timely manner and maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and have multiple screens/programs opened at the same time, leveraging technology to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Actively participate in and support departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals, contributing to our commitment to excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Comply with HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability) privacy rules, ensuring the confidentiality and security of sensitive information and upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 3+ years of contact center experience, preferably in a healthcare-related field, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and support.
  • Experience with healthcare insurance plans and billing, with a deep understanding of the complexities and nuances of health insurance and the ability to navigate these systems with ease.
  • High School Degree required, with a strong foundation in education and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
  • Ability to obtain US Security Clearance required, with a willingness to undergo the necessary background checks and clearance processes.
  • Reliable high-speed internet, with a stable and secure connection that enables you to work efficiently and effectively from home.
