Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist in the practice of pharmacy, including the use of pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for possible interactions
• Develop strong relationships with patients and customers, providing exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems, ensuring accurate and efficient processing
• Assist pharmacists in scheduling and maintaining workflow
• Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding pharmacy errors
• Strictly adhere to the arenaflex policy regarding accurate dispensing of medications
• Register all related sales on assigned cash register, collect and handle cash as required
• Take customers to the OTC aisle when possible to assist in finding products
• Handle phone calls that don't require the personal attention of the pharmacist
• Process manual claims for third-party prescription services in a timely and efficient manner

Essential Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico)
• Preferred: six months of experience in a retail environment
• Preferred: previous work experience with arenaflex
• Preferred: desirable math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
• Preferred: basic computer skills
• Preferred: knowledge of store inventory control
• Preferred: PTCB certification
