Lead Animator (3D / Blender)

The Role We are seeking a Lead Animator to support and execute our 3D Blender animation efforts, with a primary focus on YouTube Shorts and other short-form platforms. This is a senior, hands-on role for a highly skilled animator who can translate creative direction into polished, high-quality output at scale. You will report directly to the Director of Animation and act as a creative and technical pillar within the animation pipeline. What You’ll Be Responsible For • Producing high-quality 3D animations in Blender for short-form storytelling • Executing on established creative and technical standards across character animation, camera work, lookdev, shaders, and simulations • Helping refine and improve animation workflows, tools, and production systems • Collaborating closely with the Director of Animation, writers, editors, and other creatives to bring stories to life • Troubleshooting technical or creative challenges and proposing smart solutions • Maintaining speed, consistency, and quality under tight deadlines • Acting as a go-to creative resource for complex shots or sequences What We’re Looking For • Proven professional experience in 3D animation - Blender experience preferred • Deep knowledge of character animation, cinematography, look development, shader effects, and simulations • Experience working within structured animation pipelines and production environments • Strong communication skills and comfort working on fully remote teams • Highly detail-oriented, self-directed, and reliable • Someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-output creative environments Seniority & Expectations This is a senior, individual-contributor role.
