Applied AI Engineer (GenAI & Vision) Location: New York (Fully Remote) Contract Role | Interviews Available ASAP We are hiring an Applied AI Engineer to work on production-grade GenAI and computer vision systems focused on large-scale unstructured data processing. This is a fast-moving contract opportunity with immediate interview availability. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and deploy GenAI solutions using LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval-based architectures • Build and improve computer vision and document intelligence pipelines for PDFs, images, and scanned documents • Implement scalable data ingestion and content extraction workflows • Deploy and manage machine learning models using AWS services including Lambda, ECS, Airflow, and S3 • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to solve complex AI problems • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and integrate them into production systems Requirements • Proven experience in AI / machine learning with exposure to vision models • Strong proficiency in Python • Hands-on experience with GenAI frameworks such as OpenAI, Gemini, LangChain, or similar • Experience deploying ML models in cloud-based production environments • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, startup-style environment Nice to Have • Experience working with unstructured data and document processing • End-to-end ownership of models from experimentation to production • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Hiring Process Interviews are available immediately.
