Job Description: Python Engineer (Software & Data)Only w2 Location : Remote Overview We are seeking an experienced Python Engineer to join our team, focused on building and maintaining scalable, production-grade systems at the intersection of software engineering and data engineering. This role is ideal for someone who is Python-first, comfortable working with data-intensive systems, and experienced in delivering reliable backend and data solutions. This is not a pure data analyst or research role. The successful candidate will apply strong software engineering principles while working closely with data pipelines, platforms, and services. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications, services, and libraries • Build and own data pipelines and data processing workflows • Develop APIs and backend services that support data-driven products • Work with relational and analytical databases, data warehouses, and data lakes • Ensure code quality through testing, documentation, and code reviews • Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability • Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering stakeholders • Deploy, monitor, and support systems in production environments Required Qualifications • Strong professional experience with Python in production environments • Solid software engineering fundamentals (clean code, testing, version control) • Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines or data-intensive systems • Proficiency in SQL • Experience working with APIs (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django) • Familiarity with modern development workflows (Git, CI/CD) Preferred Qualifications • Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect • Exposure to big data or distributed processing tools (e.g., PySpark, Dask) • Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) • Experience with Docker and containerized deployments • Familiarity with data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift • Experience with messaging or streaming systems (Kafka, Pub/Sub) • Exposure to ML or analytics pipelines (no model research required) If I missed your call !
