A multi-database administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and optimizing
database systems across various platforms, including Oracle Exadata, Oracle Core,
MySQL, SQL Server, and AS400. This role ensures data integrity, availability,
performance, and security across all supported environments.
Core Responsibilities (Applicable across all platforms)
Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and upgrade database software
and related products across different platforms (Unix/Linux, Windows, AS400).
Performance Tuning & Monitoring: Proactively monitor system health and
performance, analyze and optimize slow-running queries using tools
like EXPLAIN PLAN or AWR reports, and implement performance
enhancements.
