Business Intelligence Analyst - Power BI (secret clearance)

We are seeking a BI Analyst with proven experience supporting the Department of Defense (DoD). The ideal candidate will leverage advanced analytics, data visualization, and business intelligence tools to transform complex datasets into actionable insights. This role requires a strong understanding of Power BI and related data science methodologies. Active Secret clearance is required. This is a 100% remote position, however candidates must reside in one of the following states: (MD/DC/VA/FL/OK/OH/NC) Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and implement data models and dashboards using Power BI and similar tools. • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights. • Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with mission objectives. • Ensure compliance with DoD security and data handling standards. • Optimize data pipelines and workflows for efficiency and scalability. • Communicate findings through clear visualizations and reports for technical and non-technical audiences. Required Qualifications • US Citizenship (mandatory) • Active Secret Clearance (mandatory). • Security+ Certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent). • Demonstrated experience working with the DoD or in a defense-related environment. • Certification in Data Science or Business Intelligence, preferably: • Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or similar. • Proficiency in: • Power BI (data modeling, DAX, visualization) • SQL and relational databases • Data cleaning and transformation techniques • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Python or R for data analysis. • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and secure environments. • Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals and predictive analytics.
