With a focus on data-driven decision making, we're shaping the evolution of storytelling around the world. **The Role** As a Data Engineer (L5) - Customer Service, you'll collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and customer service business owners to build and maintain data pipelines, transform raw data into core business metrics, and develop custom visualization tools that surface critical insights. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving business growth, improving customer satisfaction, and informing product development. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records) * Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and customer service business owners to build and maintain data pipelines, transform raw data into core business metrics, and develop custom visualization tools * Develop and maintain data models that are adaptable to changes in the source data or business processes * Work with data scientists and analysts to develop and maintain data visualizations and reports that inform business decisions * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs and develop data-driven solutions * Develop and maintain data quality metrics and ensure data accuracy and integrity * Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and improvement **Essential Qualifications:** * At least 4 years of experience engineering data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Presto, Spark, Flink) on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records) * Strong data modeling skills, with experience designing structures that are adaptable to changes in the source data or business processes * Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code * Advanced SQL skills, with a focus on data quality and advocacy for data-driven decision making * Analytical aptitude, with the ability to think through business problems and prioritize autonomously * Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Azure) * Experience with data warehousing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes * Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, D3.js) * Experience with machine learning and predictive analytics * Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems (e.g. Git) **arenaflex Culture** arenaflex's culture is built on a foundation of innovation, collaboration, and inclusivity.
