Job Overview
In this critical position, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our members and providers, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. As a Concierge Customer Service Representative, you will be the face of arenaflex, and your excellent communication skills, patience, and ability to handle difficult situations will be essential in building trust and loyalty with our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries from members and providers within defined service standards, providing accurate and timely information and support.
- Negotiate with providers to gain acceptance for plans without network agreements and/or out of network providers, utilizing your excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Assist members with benefits and healthcare questions, providing clear and concise information and guidance.
- Document all calls received in our system-based call log, ensuring accurate and detailed records of customer interactions.
- Take initiative to resolve situations and accomplish project actions and tasks, demonstrating your ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED, with 2 years of college or higher education preferred.
- One year of customer service or call center experience in a healthcare-related role, with medical intake or Third-Party Administrator (TPA) experience preferred.
- Bilingual English-Spanish skills are a plus, as are knowledge of provider organizations and networks, CMS Medicare reimbursement rates, and medical terminology.
- Strong customer relations, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Proficient with Microsoft applications, strong computer skills, and computer navigation, with excellent data entry and typing skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with claim processing, insurance verification, or pre-certification is a plus, as is knowledge of self-funded health benefits and provider office/facility billing department or financial area.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to build relationships with internal and external customers and negotiate rate structures effectively.
- Independent judgment in decision-making and problem-solving, with excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to multi-task and anticipate potential needs/problems.
