Job Title: MySQL DBA Full-time Location: Dallas, TX (Remote) Duration: Long Term Experience: 5-10 Years We're searching for a skilled MySQL DBA to manage and maintain our MySQL databases. You'll collaborate with developers and product managers to ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our data infrastructure. Responsibilities: • Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases and related infrastructure. • Monitor database performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance. • Perform regular database backups and recovery procedures. • Implement and manage database security measures to protect data integrity and privacy. • Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and storage management. • Work closely with developers and product managers to understand requirements and provide database solutions. • Conduct database capacity planning and scaling to meet business needs. • Document database configurations, processes, and procedures. • Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in MySQL and related database technologies. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA. • In-depth knowledge of MySQL database architecture, configuration, and administration. • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques. • Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries. • Familiarity with backup and recovery tools and procedures. • Proficiency in version control systems (Git) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. • Strong communication and collaboration skills. • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure Database for MySQL) is a plus. • Relevant certifications (e.g., MySQL Database Administrator) are a plus.
