[Remote] NMLS Mortgage Licensing / Compliance Specialist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand. They are seeking a Compliance Specialist focused on mortgage licensing to support high-volume onboarding of Loan Officers within its Legal and Compliance organization.
Responsibilities
• Process new mortgage license applications for Loan Officers
• Support onboarding cohorts of 15–50 Loan Officers every two weeks, resulting in hundreds of licensing actions per cycle
• Independently manage licensing workflows within NMLS
• Track licensing tasks and progress using internal systems (Airtable)
• Prepare for and support Continuing Education (CE) activities related to upcoming license renewal cycles
• Partner with multiple internal business units to ensure timely and compliant onboarding
• Provide guidance to Loan Officers on licensing requirements and status
• Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the licensing lifecycle
• Manage shifting priorities while meeting aggressive onboarding timelines
Skills
• Mortgage licensing experience (mandatory)
• Must be mortgage-specific; other licensing backgrounds are not interchangeable
• Strong hands-on proficiency with NMLS
• Ability to independently complete licensing actions without supervision
• Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads with frequent priority changes
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while remaining aligned with team goals
