Cloud Architect | Systems Architect Introduction: As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures in AWS and Azure environments. You will work with various teams to lead migration efforts, implement cloud-native solutions, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards. Your expertise in cloud governance, cost optimization, and continuous integration will be critical in driving the organization's cloud strategy forward. Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and manage secure, scalable, and highly available cloud architectures in AWS and Azure environments. • Develop and maintain cloud governance frameworks, including policies for cost optimization, security, compliance, and resource management. • Lead migration of on-premises applications and infrastructure to AWS and Azure, ensuring minimal downtime and adherence to best practices. • Implement cloud-native solutions, including containerization (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless architectures. • Configure and optimize cloud networking, identity and access management (IAM), and monitoring solutions. • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, NIST, and other applicable security and regulatory standards for cloud deployments. • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to integrate DevOps and CI/CD pipelines within cloud environments. • Provide expertise in disaster recovery and business continuity planning for cloud-based systems. • Establish and lead a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) to define cloud strategy, best practices, and governance across the organization. • Advise and implement FINOps practices for cloud financial management, cost optimization, and budgeting. • Develop training and enablement programs for Agency staff to build internal cloud competency. • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance, security, and cost efficiency. Requirements: Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: • 5+ years of IT and business/industry work experience. • 10+ years of IT experience with at least 4 years in cloud architecture roles. • Expertise in AWS and Azure cloud platforms, including multi-cloud strategy. • Experience in designing and implementing Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE). • Strong knowledge of cloud governance, security, compliance, and cost optimization. • Hands-on experience with containerization (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless architectures. • Proficiency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration. • Ability to advise and implement FINOps practices for cloud financial management. • Certifications in AWS & Azure are required.
