Summary of Responsibilities: Critical Responsibilities include: • Develop and implement comprehensive data migration strategies and plans. • Lead and manage data migration projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget. • Collaborate with IT, business units, and external vendors to gather requirements and design data migration solutions. • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security throughout the migration process. • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential data migration challenges. • Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes. • Monitor and report on data migration progress, issues, and resolutions. • Manage a team of data migration specialists, providing guidance and support as necessary. • Develop and maintain documentation, including data mapping, migration plans, and post-migration validation reports. • Ensure data migration playbooks are developed not only for future waves of migration within the program but also for future M&A activities that will likely occur. • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to data migration. Skill Set Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in data migration, data management, or related roles, with at least 3+ years in a leadership position. • Proven experience in managing large-scale data migration projects. • Strong knowledge of data migration tools, techniques, and best practices. • Proficiency in data analysis, data mapping, and ETL processes with strong hands-on experience to provide practical guidance to the team • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. • Knowledge of data security and compliance regulations. • Experience with cloud-based data migration and big data technologies is a plus.
