Dental Verifications Specialist
About the position
Stanbrick Dental Services is a growing dental company with 10 locations and 135 employees in the Denver Metro Area. We are looking for an experienced Dental Verifications Specialist. This is a primarily remote position open to applicants residing in the state of Colorado, who can commute to the Denver metro area for in-person meetings once per quarter.
We are seeking an individual who thrives in a busy work environment and has a strong work ethic. Minimum 1 year of recent experience with dental insurance verification experience is required. (medical billing/insurance experience will not qualify).

Responsibilities
• Accurate and timely verification of insurance benefits, with comprehensive entry of coverage details into practice management software
• Meet established productivity standards to maintain operational efficiency and accuracy
• Monitoring and prompt response to verification questions or concerns via email, instant messaging, help request tickets and occasional phone calls
• Regularly retrieve, organize, and transmit data providing lists of insured patients with appointments due for insurance verification
• Act as a resource to practice staff and clinicians
• Daily and weekly reporting of department status to department leader and manager
Requirements
• Demonstrated knowledge of dental PPO payor/plan structures, navigating payor websites, IVR systems and benefit documents
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal- with the ability to interpret and explain insurance coverage and limitations clearly and concisely to any knowledge level
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize without compromising attention to detail
• Comfortable with technology and digital applications such as Microsoft 365 (proficient in using Excel to process data is a plus)
• Adept at proactively identifying issues and naturally takes initiative for resolution in a timely, professional manner
• Adaptable to change and able to think outside the box to resolve complex problems
• Works effectively and efficiently, both independently and as a part of a team, with minimal supervision
• Powerful collaborator that builds trust and rapport both within their department and with their customers; skilled at understanding other perspectives and open to alternate solutions
• Reliable and strong internet connection required (company laptop will be provided) with a HIPAA secure and noise controlled remote work environment
