About Honesty Comics Honesty Comics is a growing creative brand built on transparency, humor, and real-life storytelling. As we scale, we’re seeking a trusted financial partner to manage our full accounting operations and business tax responsibilities. Role Overview We are looking for a highly reliable and experienced accounting professional or firm to oversee all financial operations for Honesty Comics. This role will manage day-to-day accounting, financial reporting, and compliance, as well as prepare and file all required business taxes. This is a critical role that supports leadership with accurate financial insight and keeps our business financially healthy and organized. Key Responsibilities • Maintain all day-to-day accounting operations • Handle full-cycle bookkeeping (A/R, A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations) • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports • Monitor budgets, expenses, and revenue • Manage invoicing, payments, and collections • Ensure accurate records and financial compliance • Prepare and file all business tax returns (federal, state, local) • Handle sales tax, payroll tax, and compliance filings • Coordinate with leadership on financial strategy and forecasting • Establish and maintain internal controls and financial processes Qualifications • 3+ years experience in accounting and business tax preparation • CPA or EA preferred (or firm with licensed professionals) • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and business taxation • Experience with QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms • High level of integrity, discretion, and accountability • Comfortable working independently with a growing brand Nice to Have • Experience with creative brands, eCommerce, or digital products • Startup or small business accounting experience Why Work With Honesty Comics • Flexible schedule • Remote-friendly • Work directly with founders • Real impact on a growing creative business Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 – 10.0 per week Education: • High school or equivalent (Preferred) Experience: • Tax accounting: 1 year (Preferred) • Finance: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: Remote Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
