Job Overview

This is a full-time position that requires working in person at our call center. Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of FHA loan origination experience, combined with excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for answering questions, providing important information about HUD FHA and reverse mortgages, and ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of support. Please note that this role is not 100% remote and requires working a standard shift of 10am - 6:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to lenders, banking/mortgage institutions, and consumers via phone, email, or other communication channels
  • Answer questions and provide accurate information about HUD FHA and reverse mortgages
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored support and guidance
  • Utilize computer Customer Relationship Management applications, related websites, and support tools to manage customer interactions and resolve issues
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and resolve complex issues
  • Meet productivity and quality standards, while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction

Essential Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A minimum of two years of FHA loan origination experience (loan processor, underwriter, loan officer) plus an additional year of customer service or contact center experience, OR at least three years of loan origination experience working with conventional loans and/or other government-backed loans (FHA, USDA, VA)
  • Two - four years of college or equivalent work experience
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer groups
  • Basic PC skills, including MS Office, and the ability to navigate a computer Customer Relationship Management application, related websites, and support tools
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and meet productivity standards
  • Ability to type 35 words per minute and work an 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, between 8am to 8pm Eastern Time, based on business needs

Desired Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Mortgage origination experience, with a strong understanding of FHA, USDA, VA, and conventional loans
  • Previous experience working in a call center or customer service environment, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences
  • Strong knowledge of HUD FHA and reverse mortgages, with the ability to provide expert guidance and support to customers
