Legal Assistant or Experienced Legal Assistant
GLP Attorneys is the largest personal injury law firm in Washington State, seeking a Legal Assistant or Experienced Legal Assistant to join their Seattle team. This role involves managing client files, supporting case management, and ensuring effective communication with clients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the Attorney and their legal team to support a caseload
- Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to ensure cases are managed effectively and efficiently
- Set up new client files, manage case records, assist with PIP claims, and ensure account balances are accurate
- Maintain regular communication with clients, healthcare providers, and other involved parties
- Handle client correspondence, address inquiries, and conduct client reviews
- Manage medical bill payments and support the tracking of related documentation
Skills
- A high school diploma is required; advanced education or a paralegal certification is preferred
- Experience working as a legal assistant or in a professional office setting is highly desired
- Competency working with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written communication skills and experience drafting professional correspondence
- Comfortable speaking with clients and healthcare providers over the phone and via email
- A detail-oriented approach, balanced with the ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Self-motivation and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- A team-oriented mindset and commitment to delivering excellent client service
- Advanced education or a paralegal certification
- Prior experience in plaintiffs' personal injury law
