The Role: We’re looking for a talented **Interior Designer / Project Manager** to lead the design and delivery of innovative educational environments — from concept to installed reality. This is a hybrid creative + execution role. You’ll design inspiring, student-centered spaces while simultaneously owning project timelines, stakeholder coordination, and successful on-time delivery. Key Responsibilities - Design dynamic, engaging Innovation Labs and hands-on learning spaces that support active, creative education - Interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and site conditions - Develop floor plans, space layouts, furniture configurations, and visual concepts - Perform occasional on-site measurements and translate them into accurate design solutions - Collaborate closely with school clients, architects, engineers, graphic designers, 3D modelers, furniture vendors, and installation teams - Prepare accurate project estimates and pricing using Google Sheets - Create compelling design presentations and concept decks in Google Slides - Lead and participate in virtual (Google Meet) and occasional in-person client and internal meetings - Manage project schedules, track revisions, secure approvals, and drive tasks to completion Must-Have Skills & Tools - **Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator** (required) - Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar CAD/BIM software (strongly preferred) - Advanced comfort with **Google Workspace** (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive, Gmail) - Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment - Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and follow-through - Willingness to travel occasionally to school sites for measurements, installations, or client meetings Who You Are - Passionate about innovative design and its power to improve education - Creative yet highly structured -- you balance imagination with disciplined execution - Comfortable working independently in a fully remote setting while remaining highly responsive and communicative - A confident, clear communicator who enjoys collaborating with diverse teams (designers, educators, vendors, engineers) - Reliable, proactive, and deadline-driven — you take full ownership of your work Why Join Inventionland Education? - Directly impact student engagement, creativity, and learning outcomes in schools nationwide - Work alongside passionate educators, designers, and innovators who genuinely care about the future of education - Build and showcase a standout portfolio of visible, high-impact educational spaces - Grow rapidly in a fast-moving, supportive, and creative environment - Enjoy meaningful work that inspires students and transforms school culture If you’re excited to design spaces where students discover their potential — and you have the creative talent + project management discipline to make it happen — we’d love to hear from you.
