[Remote] Cloud Solution Architect - Azure Platform (Infrastructure & Resiliency)

Microsoft is a global leader in technology, and they are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect for their Azure Platform focusing on Infrastructure and Resiliency. The role involves supporting customers in building secure and scalable cloud foundations, guiding them through solution design and deployment, and driving customer success through technical engagements and strategic guidance. Responsibilities • Act as the technical service leader and SME on the entire lifecycle of Success Program services focused on Microsoft Azure customer environment health, resiliency, governance, and compliance solutions. This includes aligning service architecture and design with business priorities and requirements, orchestrating build and deployment, managing updates, and supporting change adoption • Demonstrate thought leadership and subject matter expertise across service components, developing IP, influencing design and delivery quality, and enabling others through strategic guidance • Lead technical engagements across design, build, and operations, removing blockers and accelerating adoption of Azure Landing Zones, Azure Policy, Azure Monitor, Azure Backup, Azure Site Recovery, Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, networking, and platform reliability controls • Drive positive Customer Satisfaction and become a trusted advisor, providing feedback & insights from customers/partners as you develop and expand impactful relationships with customer and partner architects, C-level Technical Decision Makers (TDMs), and business stakeholders • Provide direction to TDMs and build the bridge between TDMs and Business Decision Makers (BDMs) • Develop opportunities to drive Customer Success business results and help Customers get value from their Microsoft investments • Support team technical skilling on Microsoft cloud health & governance platforms based on area demands & Customer Success goals, share expertise in relevant communities, contribute to IP creation & reuse, and connect gaps and patterns across business and technology areas • Partner with other CSAs, CSAMs, and Product Groups to drive unified delivery and technical excellence Skills • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 4+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting + OR equivalent experience • Microsoft is unable to sponsor a work visa for this role due to the nature of the role's job duties • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business or related field AND 8+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting + OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field AND 6+ years experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting + OR equivalent experience • 4+ years experience working in a customer-facing role (e.g., internal and/or external) • 4+ years experience working on technical projects • Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google, security certifications) • Demonstrated technical expertise in at least one of the following Microsoft cloud health & governance platforms: Azure Landing Zones, Azure Policy, RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID, Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, Azure Backup & Site Recovery, Reliability engineering across networking, identity, compute • Azure infrastructure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104); Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) experience and reliability patterns across networking, identity, and compute • Multi-cloud governance exposure (AWS Control Tower; Google Cloud Resource Hierarchy) Company Overview • Microsoft is a software corporation that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells a range of software products and services.
