A company is looking for an Underwriting Analyst.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate group and individual applications for underwriting eligibility and compliance
• Assess health risk factors and analyze claims history for financial impact
• Serve as a liaison between underwriting and other departments, ensuring clear communication of decisions
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting or enrollment risk assessment in the health insurance industry
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Understanding of state and federal regulations, including ACA, COBRA, and ERISA
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with underwriting systems
