Title: Simulation, Optimization and Applied AI Research Professional Duration: 8 Months Contract (Potential for Extension) Location: Remote Work Arrangement: Preferred location: Princeton, NJ/ Open for Remote consultants as well Shift: Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Tools & Equipment: Laptop provided by Client Position Summary In this role, you will play a key part in advancing next-generation simulation methods and their application across design, manufacturing, commissioning, and operational tools. The position supports Client's strategic goals in automation, energy efficiency, and sustainability and offers hands-on experience with proprietary simulation platforms shaping the future of engineering innovation. Key Responsibilities • Conduct research on next-generation physics-based simulation methods for design, control, manufacturing, and operations • Integrate optimization and AI/ML-driven approaches into simulation workflows to enhance modeling accuracy, manufacturability, performance prediction, reusability, and reliability • Develop and apply digital twin solutions for mechatronics products • Apply multi-physics principles including heat transfer, structural mechanics, electrical circuits, fluid dynamics, and electromagnetism • Contribute domain expertise across industries such as automotive, aerospace, manufacturing, and/or buildings • Collaborate with Client business units to understand customer needs, identify technology gaps, and transition research outcomes into commercial products • Present, explain, and demonstrate technical concepts and results in internal meetings, customer engagements, and conferences • Protect intellectual property through patent applications and contribute to publications in leading journals and conferences Qualifications Education • Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related discipline from an accredited institution Experience & Skills • Minimum of 4 years of research or development experience in simulation, optimization, and applied AI • At least 2 years of hands-on experience in product design and operational environments • Minimum of 4 years of programming experience with Python and C++ • Experience working in international, cross-functional project teams • Strong customer orientation and stakeholder management skills • Proficiency in spoken and written English Why Work With Us?
