Brand UI / Visual Designer (Startup Products)

About the Role We’re looking for a Brand UI / Visual Designer who thrives in fast-paced startup environments and loves creating strong visual brands from scratch. Our team already handles UX strategy and product flows. This role is visual- and graphic-first, focused on branding, aesthetic direction, and high-impact UI design for early-stage web and mobile products. You’ll often be working with minimal existing branding and helping define the look, feel, and visual voice of new startup products — with quick turnaround timelines. What You’ll Do • Create brand identities and visual systems for early-stage startup apps • Produce 3 distinct UI / brand style directions per product for fast review and selection • Design high-fidelity UI screens (web or mobile) that reflect the chosen brand • Execute quick iterations and rapid turnarounds based on feedback • Focus on visual polish, clarity, and brand consistency • Collaborate with UX designers and developers who handle flows, logic, and functionality Important: This Is Not a UX Role This position does not focus on: • UX research or user testing • Wireframing or UX flow design • Information architecture or usability strategy Those areas are already covered by our team. Requirements • Strong background in visual design, brand design, or graphic design • Experience creating brand identities for digital products • Ability to develop multiple visual directions quickly • Comfortable working with tight timelines and fast feedback cycles • Portfolio showing brand-driven, high-fidelity UI work • Proficiency in Figma (or similar tools) Nice to Have • Startup or agency experience • SaaS, dashboard, or mobile app design experience • Illustration, iconography, or motion design skills Your portfolio should include: • Visually distinct brand directions • High-fidelity UI screens • Examples of startup or early-stage product branding Portfolios focused mainly on UX flows or low-fidelity wireframes may not be a strong fit.
