Sr. Audit Associate
Our client is seeking an Assurance / Audit Lead to join their growing audit practice on the West Coast. This role is ideal for a public accounting professional with strong audit experience who is ready to take ownership of engagements, manage day-to-day execution, and serve as a key point of contact for clients and internal teams.
Responsibilities Include:
• Lead assurance and audit engagements from planning through completion
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of junior audit staff
• Perform and review risk assessments, testing, and audit documentation
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and firm methodologies
• Communicate findings, issues, and recommendations to clients and engagement leadership
• Assist with engagement scheduling, budgeting, and workflow management
Qualifications:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in public accounting (audit/assurance required)
• Experience leading or acting as senior on audit engagements
• CPA is a plus but not required
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and audit standards
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
