We're seeking a Remote Commercial Insurance Underwriter who will play a critical role in evaluating, pricing, and structuring commercial insurance solutions that protect our clients and strengthen our agency. Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year Benefits Annual Base Salary + Commission Paid Time Off (PTO) Work from Home Flexible Schedule Health Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Disability Insurance Parental Leave Hands on Training Tuition Reimbursement Mon-Fri Schedule Career Growth Opportunities Retirement Plan Work-Life Balance Holidays Off Paid Holidays 401k Plan Professional Development Mentorship Employee Discounts Equipment Provided Office Snacks and Coffee Paid Sick Leave Family Leave Requirements • An active Property and Casualty insurance license is required • Prior commercial lines underwriting experience • Previous experience in binding excess and surplus lines policy with wholesalers • Proven experience in rating and marketing new and renewal commercial lines business • Strong knowledge of BOP, commercial property, commercial liability, workers' compensation, cyber liability, and directors and officers coverage • Familiarity with multiple carrier platforms, underwriting guidelines, and appetites • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Responsibilities • Create commercial lines submissions, including Accord applications • Review and analyze new business and renewal submissions for risk acceptability, pricing, and coverage recommendations • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all documentation is complete and submitted accurately • Make underwriting decisions within assigned authority and refer accounts when appropriate • Communicate underwriting decisions clearly, including approvals, revisions, and declinations • Maintain detailed, accurate underwriting files and system records About Us Borg Insurance Agency & Associates is a dynamic leader in the insurance industry, passionately committed to protecting clients' futures.
