[Remote] Software Engineer

They are seeking a Software Engineer to develop and maintain scalable, cloud-based software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features and improvements to their platform.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using PHP and Laravel
  • Write clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback
  • Support application deployment and ongoing maintenance
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to ensure that software solutions meet business requirements
  • Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance
  • Communicate with stakeholders, including management, customers, and other teams, to ensure that software solutions meet their needs

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
  • Eagerness to learn and grow under the mentorship of senior engineers
  • Experience with tools such as Git, Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience working with one or more cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and familiar with their services and APIs
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and able to collaborate effectively with other team members
  • Demonstrated experience using AI coding assistants in a professional or project setting
  • Ability to write clear, specific prompts that produce useful outputs
  • Strong critical evaluation skills—able to identify subtle bugs, inefficiencies, or security issues in generated code
  • Understanding of AI limitations, including hallucinations, outdated patterns, and context window constraints
