[Remote] Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst

As a Group Underwriting Best Practice Analyst, you will support the development and optimization of underwriting tools and processes, focusing on enhancing data analysis and improving operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Support and enhance underwriting tools
- Maintain and update documentation to ensure compliance with business requirements
- Analyze data using Excel, Power BI, VBA, PL/SQL, and Power automate
- Coordinate business requests and follow through to resolution
- Collaborate with IT, Finance, Actuarial, and other internal teams to align underwriting practices with business goals
Skills
- Post-secondary diploma or degree with a focus in Business Administration, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics, or related field
- 1-3 years in group underwriting, insurance, or data analysis (internships or relevant academic experience are considered)
- Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn advanced tools like Power BI
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required to meet business needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and great attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work independently to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical thinking and solid technical skills
- Motivation, determination, team spirit, and autonomy
