Electrical Analytical Engineer 2 (Entry-Level)

Sargent & Lundy is a company that provides critical electrical analysis and consulting services for power projects. The role involves performing various electrical analyses and calculations to support substation, transmission line, and renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Relay setting calculations
• Power system calculations
• Arc flash calculations
• Cable ampacity calculations
• Transient analysis
• Harmonic analysis
• Renewable energy calculations
• Grounding and induction calculations

Skills

• This position requires an BS in Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background and coursework emphasis in Power Systems Analysis
• 1 or more years of relevant work experience, or a Master's degree
• Proficiency with MS Office applications
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid interpersonal skills and ability to work with and guide others
• MSEE or Ph.D. is preferred
• Internship or work experience in performing power analysis, preferably within the power industry
• Experience performing analysis of power systems using software such as: ETAP, SKM, PSCAD and EMTP-RV
• Strong working knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, etc
• Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam, and designation as an Engineer in Training
