BUSINESS TAXES SPECIALIST I, BOARD OF EQUALIZATION
The California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) is seeking a Business Taxes Specialist I to contribute to the efficient collection of revenue that supports essential public services. The role involves performing specialized analysis within Online Services, managing customer registrations, and providing technical guidance to enhance the customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Independently performing complex, specialized analysis and functions within the Online Services system
- Customer registration, return filing, login profiles, and payments for the Centralized Revenue Opportunity System (CROS) Project
- Identifying potential problems, solutions, and/or alternatives utilizing CROS Online Services
- Providing technical and development guidance
- Supporting the coordination to lead complex Online Services project activities and facilitating meetings for CDTFA business programs as well as outside agencies/vendors
- Providing advisory services, recommendations, and resolutions regarding Online Services issues to all levels of management within the Department
Skills
- Knowledge of the tax and fee laws and regulations
- Knowledge and understanding of the California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA) organizational functions, policies, and procedures
- Analytical skills
- Ability to speak and write effectively
- Ability to work efficiently to provide advisory services, recommendations, and resolutions regarding Online Services issues to all levels of management within the Department
- Employee to be fingerprinted and successfully pass a background investigation
- Travel required up to five percent (5%) of the time
