Credit Review Specialist 2
U.S. Bank is committed to helping customers and businesses make better financial decisions. The Credit Review Specialist 2 is responsible for conducting credit analyses, preparing credit reports, and monitoring customer accounts to minimize credit risk and ensure quality.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for conducting credit analyses including gathering, analyzing and interpreting all types of credit information on existing and prospective customers and portfolios
- Inputs the data gathered into tracking and/or reporting computer systems and/or databases
- Prepares and presents credit reports to person(s) responsible for making lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans
- In some areas, this position may make credit decisions in a high-volume production environment
- Monitors customer accounts and/or loan portfolios in order to identify potential issues and thereby maximize credit quality and minimize the company’s credit risk and potential loss
- Sets up and maintains databases used to analyze accounts and/or portfolios
- Prepares and presents credit reports to person(s) responsible for maintaining control over the credit standings of individual accounts and portfolios
- Generally furnishes information relative to credit inquiries to appropriate parties
Skills
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
- Typically one or more years of related experience
- Basic knowledge of credit and risk analysis, economics, accounting and finance
- Strong analytical skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Time management skills
- Proficiency with nCino preferred
