Business Development Manager - Digital Markets
Gartner is a leading research and advisory company that empowers organizations to accelerate growth through technology and services. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for running a full sales desk, prospecting, qualifying, and closing deals while building relationships with key business decision makers.
Responsibilities
- Run a full sales desk, including prospecting, qualifying, pricing, quoting, negotiating and closing deals
- Actively seek out new sales opportunities through active networking and personal/strategic emails, phone calls and social messages (at least 50 outreaches per day)
- Build relationships with key business decision makers, up to and including C-Level Executives
- Qualify and uncover prospective client needs, goals and pain points to determine if the Gartner Digital Markets platforms are right for them
- Partner with Account Management team to ensure new software vendor clients are set up for success on our platforms
- Participate in ongoing sales training to continue building your sales skills
Skills
- Fluency in English
- 1-2 years of relevant sales experience (B2B or Software Sales experience a plus)
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
- Must have full life cycle sales experience from prospecting to close
- Ability to solve complex problems and successfully manage ambiguity and unexpected change
- A desire for continuous learning and ability to give/receive feedback
- Demonstrated consistency in delivering results with positivity in the face of challenges
- Confidence selling to, challenging and building trust-based, value-added relationships with clients ranging from CEOs and company founders to entry-level marketers
- Proven experience building excellent client relationships, offering value added, strategic business insight
- Bachelor's degree is preferred
