Accountant
Sodexo is seeking an Accountant in the Segment Support, Contract Management Department at the Finance Shared Services office in Buffalo, NY. The role involves performing routine assignments, maintaining strong business relationships, ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, and applying accounting principles to support operational teams.
Responsibilities
- Support and maintain strong business relationships with segment finance and operational teams
- Ensure integrity of business lines internal financial reporting & prepare client income statements & billings
- Apply GAAP & objective accounting judgement to knowledge of contractual agreements & company policy
- Maintain company databases as necessary
- Manage daily phone calls, emails, and SoFinance requests to assist operators with financial acumen
- Work proactively to prevent problems and identify and implement innovative solutions
- Set up new Contracts including billing and system updates
- Reconcile, review, and validate Blackline reconciliations and supporting documentation
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of GAAP
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Accounting experience 1-2 years
- Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience
