Job Overview

In this part-time role, you will handle inbound customer calls and manage outbound follow-up calls as part of our Insurance (property & casualty) team. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting customer inquiries regarding insurance products and services, providing basic policy information, transferring calls to the correct team when escalation is required, and handling other related duties as needed. This is an excellent opportunity to work from the comfort of your own home, with a schedule that requires up to 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with shifts starting at 10AM or noon.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle inbound customer calls and manage outbound follow-up calls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Support customer inquiries regarding insurance products and services, providing accurate and timely information
  • Provide basic policy information and transfer calls to the correct team when escalation is required
  • Meet objectives and build rapport with customers, ensuring a positive experience and promoting customer loyalty
  • Work effectively in a remote environment, maintaining a quiet and distraction-free workspace with excellent internet connectivity

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 2+ years of customer service experience, with call center experience being a plus
  • High school diploma or GED
  • High level of accuracy when completing tasks, with proficient PC skills and typing speed of 30+ WPM
  • Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent internet connectivity, with internet access speeds of 10 Mbps upload and 50 Mbps download, and a hard-wired internet connection capable of continuously supporting outstanding call quality and high-speed response rates
  • A quiet and distraction-free, secure place to work from home
