The Role The Performance Media Strategist owns the planning, execution, and optimization of paid performance media across Google, Meta, and TikTok, with a clear mandate to drive profitable growth, efficient customer acquisition, and scalable performance frameworks. This role translates business objectives into full funnel performance media strategies, partnering closely with Strategy, Creative, Retail Media, and Analytics to ensure performance media is fully integrated into a broader commerce growth model. What You Will Own • End to end performance, execution, and optimization across Google, Meta, and TikTok • Channel strategy, testing roadmaps, and optimization plans • Budget pacing, efficiency targets, and performance outcomes within assigned channels • Audience strategy, bidding approaches, and creative performance inputs • Performance insights and recommendations for internal teams and clients Key Responsibilities Performance Strategy and Activation • Develop performance media strategies aligned to client growth and efficiency goals • Translate commerce strategy into actionable media plans and testing frameworks • Identify opportunities where off platform media supports marketplace and retail media performance • Balance short term efficiency with longer term growth and demand creation Campaign Execution and Optimization • Launch and manage campaigns across Google, Meta, and TikTok • Optimize toward core performance metrics including ROAS, CPA, CAC, and MER, in partnership with account and strategy leads • Own budget pacing, bid strategies, audience structure, and platform level optimizations • Partner with Creative to inform briefs and performance driven asset development Measurement, Insights, and Attribution • Analyze performance beyond platform reported metrics to assess true business impact • Partner with Analytics to evaluate attribution models, incrementality, and blended performance • Deliver clear insights and performance narratives to clients Cross Functional Collaboration • Work closely with Creative, Strategy, Retail Media, and Analytics teams • Support client conversations with confident, data backed recommendations • Share learnings across accounts to drive repeatable, scalable delivery • Contribute to internal process improvements and operating standards What Success Looks Like • Performance media programs are profitable, scalable, and aligned to business outcomes • Clients understand how performance media supports marketplace, retail, and DTC growth • Campaign efficiency and scale improve consistently over time • Channel Key performance media capabilities become more structured, repeatable, and differentiated Qualifications • 4-7 plus years of hands-on experience managing paid media across Google, Meta, and/or TikTok • Strong understanding of auctions, bidding, audiences, and creative performance levers • Experience managing meaningful budgets with clear accountability for outcomes • Comfort operating in a fast paced, client facing environment • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear recommendations Preferred Experience • Experience working with ecommerce or DTC brands • Familiarity with Amazon, retail media, or marketplace driven businesses • Understanding of blended performance metrics and full funnel measurement • Prior agency experience managing multiple clients How We Work at Channel Key At Channel Key, we exist to create exceptional outcomes for our clients, our business, ourselves, and each other.
